When Pierre ends his relationship with Leo, Leo loses his job and sells off his stuff to continue living. Leo’s possessions and money eventually dry up and he is to the point of living on the streets when he calls his friend Mark for help. Mark sends him plane ticket to return to the US to stay at the resort with Mark.

Mark co-owns the resort with Reed, someone Leo has never met, but someone he loathes for repeatedly breaking his friend’s heart and for standing in the way of Mark and Leo ever being together.

When Reed comes for an unexpected visit, Leo finds himself drawn to the heartbreaking scoundrel. Leo finds himself wanting to learn more about Reed and to be near the man. Yet, he continues to push Reed away even though he knows there’s something there between them.

Skipping Stones is one of those stories that pulls you in and has you cheering for the bad guy before you learn he might not be so bad. The characters and story felt as if it moved in 3D, like I was a part of the actions unfolding for the men involved. Mark and his insecurities, Leo fighting his feelings and Reed standing by accepting the judgment placed on him unfairly ‘til the truth is revealed. I loved Skipping Stones, loved Reed…loved when he and Leo come together…romance at its best. Another excellent DJ Manly story!
