Best friends Jeff Cordata and Kim work together at the local bookstore. It’s Kim who points out to Jeff that he’s either got a stalker or an admirer in the hot looking guy checking him out at work. After a previous relationship that went horribly wrong Jeff is leery of dating, but he decides to give Brad Cannidy a chance.

As soon as Jeff meets Brad he knows that the other man is a were, a wolf in fact, which isn’t a good thing since there is bad blood between the wolves and other weres, particularly snakes. That’s kind of awkward since Jeff is a snake.

The chemistry between Jeff and Brad is undeniable, but it still doesn’t take away from their heritage. Family members from both sides aren’t happy about the pair dating and even less thrilled when they refuse to stop seeing each other. Jeff is slightly skittish when Brad pushes for a deeper relationship though he can’t deny he truly cares for the big, bad wolf. A warning from the past and dangers in the present makes their bonding more precarious. Someone is sending them a message. Heeding it isn’t negotiable.

Drama, suspense, and danger besiege a fated romance in Snakeskin Boots. Jeff and Brad are the epitome of the term opposites attract and their families wish they wouldn’t bother trying to work things out. The plot builds with more details, more intricate mysteries, and overwhelming passion. Snakeskin Boots offers a rich, heady love story and a tense, layered plotline. The balance between their romance and the tension is perfect. Snakeskin Boots is a very slick and satisfying read.
