A call from an old friend sends tarantula shifter Haben Bello to Kansas. It seems that Wes is dealing with a human/shifter fight over a 12 year old lion shifter named Damon. For some reason the lioness who signed her rights away at Damon’s birth wants the boy back and Wes could use Haben’s help to resolve the matter.
Close to his second century mark Haben travels the highways with Kontra and his shifter gang while they all search for their mate. Finding out that Damon’s adopted human father is Haben’s mate comes as a happy shock to them both. Lou Reynold’s is getting used to the idea of his son turning into a lion but seeing Haben turn into a tarantula is something altogether different, especially when Lou is scared of spiders. Come what may, Haben will do whatever’s necessary to secure the love of his mate.
Between a mystery and a tentative mate lie the seeds of love in Spider Sense. Patience and the hope of a happy future give Haben all the reasons in the world to keep fighting for the love of his mate, Lou. Though Lou is floundering somewhat with everything that’s being thrown at him, he knows his place is at Haben’s side which makes for a lovely romance. Add in a little intrigue and drama to the mix and Spider Sense comes up a winner in this captivating series.
