Jase Campbell is on a mission to bring down an Amazon drug lord and stop the traffic of weapons and drugs into the United States.  He’s used to trying to fit in with the disgusting men in the business but he’s not used to seeing a beautiful pregnant American among all the refuse.  Jase can’t stop his mind from wondering back to the beauty he spotted on the balcony and he knows that she could only bring trouble to his mission but he can’t stop himself from finding out more about her.

Melanie thought she was doing a good thing returning her husband’s ashes to his brother but all it did was land her in the middle of the jungle at the mercy of a drug lord.  She will do anything to escape the despicable man even attempt to seduce his men if they will take her to safety.  If all else fails she’s prepared to traverse the jungle alone because she has something to fight for, her baby!

The beautiful American crawls under Jase’s skin until he can’t possibly leave her at the mercy of his target but can he make it through the jungle with a pregnant woman in tow without the bad guys catching up to them?

Dana Marton keeps the action tense and the desire palpable in Spy Hard.  Ms. Marton gives her readers a front row seat to the drug war in the jungle.  There are plenty of bad guys and creepy crawlers to keep things interesting as the hero and heroine of this plot try to make it to safety.  It is easy to get caught up in this whirlwind venture.  Jase and Melanie are equally strong in their own right and when together are a force to be reckoned with.  I like the fact that this story is unlike most I’ve read, the heroine is very pregnant while trying to get away from the bad guy.  It adds a different dimension to this plot and I really enjoyed it.  There may not be a ton of romance in this novel but the story will keep you glued to the pages!  There is something to be said for an understated romance.  In Spy Hard the romance is more believable because in reality the couple does not have the time to be all gooey eyed over each other. They must instead fight for their lives and the chance to romance each other in the future.  Spy Hard is another fantastic action adventure from Dana Marton.
