Mae-June July Augustine left Sultry Springs, Texas in her rearview nine years ago. She hoped to never return but if she wants to open her upscale martini bar she will have to. June must return for a month of community service if she wants to get all the licenses she needs for her new bar. Of course, one of the first people she runs into is the absolutely last one she wants to see; Luke Gallagher. She ran from him and the town years ago and now she will be forced to face all of those unresolved feelings once again. Will June and Luke be able to find love a second time around?
Sultry with a Twist is a sweet hometown romance. There are a lot of funny moments in this story from the hero and heroine to all of the other eccentric citizens of Sultry Springs. While I could feel the chemistry between June and Luke I couldn’t get into the rest of the story. There was almost too much quirkiness to the story. The story moved at a bit of a slow pace for me and I couldn’t totally embrace it.
