I found Shermaine Williams’ Taming the Alter Ego to be a peculiar, yet delightful read. The narrative is told only from the heroine’s point of view and the actual dialogue between Mariella and Tom is few and far between. The storyline in general is more on the sexual aspect – the foreplay build up and the physical encounter with some wicked bondage thrown in for excitement. And, let me tell you, the sex is hot, hot, hot! While, the conclusion is very satisfying; I am left with an open-ended feeling and could not help but wonder if Ms. Williams plans to expound on this couple’s relationship in a future novel. Nevertheless, Taming the Alter Ego is a very enjoyable read.
