Up and coming band Frenzied Water reaps the benefits when Frank Harold, drummer for Heirloom, the biggest band in the world inexplicably quits and signs on with them. There was some talk about Frank having a falling out with Heirloom’s lead singer Dave Valley and the rumors say the split was more personal than business.
Frenzied Water’s lead singer, Johnny was interested in the drummer before they met and after spending time together would do anything to have Frank for his own. Johnny wishes they could be more than band mates. He finally wears the drummer down and the night is perfect which leaves Johnny stumped and crushed when Frank says it’s never happening again.
Reeling from Frank’s rejection it’s a bitter sweet achievement to learn that Frenzied Water’s been signed as the opening act for Heirloom’s U.S. tour. This could be Frank’s chance to put the past to rest and Johnny can show the drummer he’s nothing like Dave Valley. Or, Frank could decide he made a huge mistake. Either way this tour is going to be unforgettable.
The Beat hits the highest notes and scores. Between complicated love lives, intense characters, and carnal sexual encounters The Beat makes for a compelling story. Told from Johnny’s point of view, the complex relationships and messy emotional outbursts will make or break them. Rhythm and tempers keep the plotline moving briskly along in this sensual treat.
