Though Mikon was ready to settle down somewhere permanently it always seems that he ends up using his skills as a caravan master.  His younger brother Jakob brokered the latest job taking a small group across the Deadlands.  The only thing that concerns Mikon about the month long trip are the captured Masaari warriors bound for the ruler at journey’s end.

Everything goes according to plan at first until the fateful day the warriors break free and kill the soldiers guarding them.  From that point on Mikon and Jakob are subjected to an unimaginable future neither man ever thought possible.  Mikon discovers that his soul is not his own and a god has been waiting for him, waiting centuries.
