Pathologist, Dr. Kate Graham, is a “by the book” rule follower. Dr. Connor Matthews, is her complete opposite…on the surface, that is. Connor doesn’t want to bother with the stickler, but something intrigues him about her. She seems to be two separate individuals rolled into one, and he would like to solve that mystery. However, can he delve into the depths of Kate’s secrets, and convince her that there is a connection there, or will Kate feel that risk is too much to take?

The Legendary Playboy Surgeon was full of drama and action that needed to be dealt with swiftly between its covers. However, I wasn’t truly drawn to Kate and Connor or their romance. There were so many other things going on that some aspects were just glossed over instead of fully explored further. The Legendary Playboy Surgeon sought to equate both of Kate’s and Connor’s past as being equal, but I just didn’t see it. I understood that likeness was to show that they had more in common than they thought, but I felt it trivialized one character’s past more than the other. I wished that The Legendary Playboy Surgeon showed Connor and Kate getting to know each other better, rather than being told that they did.
