The newly formed pack is settling in well with a strong Alpha and his Alpha mate, as well as several other pack members finding happiness with their mates. Everyone is learning their way within the pack, everyone except for Alfred. The pack troublemaker, the screw up who seems to excel at getting in a jam or causing problems, that’s Alfred.

One pack member in particular however has quietly had his eyes on Alfred ever since he and his older brother Gunnar joined the pack. Caden knows to the bottom of his soul that Alfred is a good wolf and his mate. Now he just has to get the rest of the pack to realize it. Most of all, Caden has to get Alfred to believe in himself.

Return to the world of Pack Discipline where there’s more going on beneath the surface in the fourth story, The Love of a Mate. Emotional issues between the mates are explored and a lasting love cannot be taken for granted. The pecking order or pack order is also put under the magnifying glass by Caden who would do anything to protect Alfred from further hurt. Some clever little twists and turns keep The Love of a Mate from ever getting stale and it’s easily understood as a standalone tale.
