History Professor Allison Leigh loves spending her summer working in the historical Landon Mansion in Philadelphia. The historical garb may get hot, but getting to share the history with people of all ages is something that Allison loves. There are many ghost stories surrounding the house that have increased its popularity. Allison never put much stock into those stories until she discovers a dead body and was introduced to one Special Agent.
Agent Tyler Montague is a member of a special task force called the Krewe of Hunters. Tyler and his team investigate the peculiar cases. Tyler is in Philadelphia to find out if the famous Lord “Butcher” Bedford’s ghost is causing the murders at Landon Mansion. Tyler is used to dealing with those skeptical about ghosts but there is something about Ms. Allison Leigh that causes him to want her to believe.
Allison’s historical knowledge of the area and the people that used to live there make her the perfect person to help Tyler find the killer. Will they be able to fight the attraction and keep themselves protected at the same time?
The Uninvited is the third book in the trilogy of the Krewe of Hunters books. It can be read as a stand-alone. While I did enjoy this book it is not my favorite of the series. Allison and Tyler prove to be interesting and sexy characters but the thing that I really like about Ms. Graham’s books is the mystery. The romance takes a bit of a back seat to the cool story that interweaves the past and present with skill. Allison and Tyler do have excellent chemistry and their scenes are great but I am amazed at Ms. Graham’s ability to create a magical story that works so well in the present when part of the facts lie in the past. The Uninvited is a saucy romantic murder mystery with ghosts taking center stage.
