Lifelong best friends formed a band to perform on weekends at clubs around town simply to share their joy of music with others. Lead singer Carey Gale is the only human in the quartet, surrounded by shifter’s he’s known his whole life and he wouldn’t have it any other way.
Tonight they played at Club Feathers where Carey caught the eye of a tall, dark stranger. Intrigued by the sexy human, jaguar Alpha Broden Lyall manages to talk Carey into his bed. Broden’s always considered humans too fragile and frail to get involved with, but his jaguar half insists on bonding with Carey as soon as possible.
The cat shifter is unaware of Carey’s hidden depths thinking he must protect the human when threats are made. But Carey is more than capable of holding his own against anyone, including a domineering lover. When danger comes calling, don’t count the human out.
An alpha will learn that To Have a Human is a rare gift worth fighting for. A lively, entertaining tale of lust, love, and respect earned the hard way. Carey and his friends are always ready for trouble so surprises are dealt with and everything falls neatly into place. To Have a Human features charming characters, droll sometimes snarky dialogue, and a smooth plotline. Definitely worth a chuckle or two.
