Jenny Ainsley has constantly made sure she blended into the background. She always knew there could be someone or lots of someone’s looking for her because of her father. Suddenly Jenny finds herself needing to make a decision – to fall even deeper into the shadows in an attempt to stay safe or to become the risk-seeking woman that is just waiting to come out. This decision is going to be made sooner than Jenny ever thought all because of her family.

Gunter Faust runs an extra ordinary security and bodyguard company. His clients are some of the most known personalities both in public and government. As an ex MI-5 officer, Gunter can do a risk analysis as easy as he could tie his shoes. But after his last job and the pay-back he got from Jenny’s brother, there is no way he would ever take another job from him. That is until he finds out the job is to keep Jenny safe once again. They only met once but something about her has stuck with Gunter ever since.

A break-in brings Gunter into Jenny’s life and she soon realizes that she met him once before. As they search for answers on who might be trying to get Jenny, the journey takes them both into the pasts that they would rather keep hidden. The passion between them just simmers until they have to portray lovers both in front of and behind closed doors. Gunter has accepted this new mission only because his hands are tied. Jenny accepted because she wants Gunter in her life and the spice of risk that comes with him. When the mission is over, can Jenny and Gunter win against all odds or will Gunter lose absolutely everything this time because he agreed to help Jenny’s brother and his government.

Two hearts learn that the past never really goes away but that love can defeat just about any shadows in Undercover Lover. Gunter would have hung up on Jenny’s brother if he hadn’t begged for Jenny’s safety…the only key that would turn that lock. Jenny went from being scared and hiding in plain sight to a risk-defying and in your face woman to keep her man. Watching as both Jenny and Gunter are forced to take on a mission that could mean their deaths and all that went into it had me wondering if they would ever have the chance to explore the intense feelings between them. I loved how Jenny came out of hiding and into the person she should have always been. Gunter had my respect from the beginning –even if I did want to smack him a couple of times. The final fallout could have killed every chance that Gunter and Jenny had to have a future together, but you know those two stubborn people just would not let that happen either – thank goodness. I still haven’t made a decision about Jenny’s brother yet – rock star ego or family protector. Undercover Lover is full of suspense and passion that kept me turning pages just to see what situation would come up next.
