Trouble is brewing when two Barbary Pride lions are accused of the death and torture of a female mated wolf-shifter.  The wolves want revenge.  Once their plan is in action, they are surprised how easy it is to abduct the female lion, Jizette.  This she-lion just happens to also be the Barbary Pride Alpha’s sister.  After Jizette realizes she’s been taken, she feels her life is seriously endangered by these wolves, but somehow she must convince the wolves her brother knows nothing about the wolf attack.  Getting help seems unlikely, but when one man steps forward to stop her harassment, Jizette can’t stop her sudden attraction to this wolf, Kage.

Can a wolf and lion be mates?  Is it even something she wants to risk?  Kage, the son of the wolf alpha hates to see the she-lion stressed.  Saving her from the angry wolf mob seems like his only option.  But Kage has no idea just what his heroic act will cost him.

Unwanted Desire is the third installment in Aubrey Ross’s Alpha Colony series.  Each of these stories seems to build this world, making it more complex.  I love how Aubrey Ross has made each one of these shifters unique, even the secondary characters seem to come to life.  This story is full of romance and love, and I couldn’t help just falling further and further into their world.  Jizette and Kage have a huge obstacle to overcome, but the way this story weaves together is just perfect.  This is a series I have truly enjoyed!
