“Stay” by Michele Hauf

Magen is looking for a fling and what better place to have one than in France while on vacation.  There’s only one problem. Magen never counted on sexing it up with a vampire or finding out she’s possessed!  Lucian can’t seem to stop his feelings for Magen.  There is something about the woman that makes him want to stay when he’s usually a love ‘em and leave ‘em type of vampire.  But what will he do when he discovers Magen is being possessed by his former lover?

“Stay” is a sexy romance with lots of twisty paranormal elements.  I like Magen and Lucian together. They have plenty of chemistry and passion, but I had trouble getting into the whole possession storyline.  “Stay” was okay but not my favorite.


“Vivi and the Vampire” by Kendra Leigh Castle

Justin the Vampire King of Terra Noctem is forced to go on vacation by his sister.  It’s hard for a Vampire King to let go of all the responsibilities and just have some fun.  What Justin discovers on his getaway is more than he ever bargained for.  Vivi is taking a break from vampire hunting to have a little R&R on the beach, but wouldn’t you know she discovers two vamps taking advantage of a woman on her first night there. However, what is most surprising is that another vamp comes to her aid and he just so happens to be the Vampire King.  It’s probably really bad for a hunter to be attracted to the Vampire King but Vivi can’t help it.  What will happen when Vivi’s boss discovers her affair with the vampire?

“Vivi and the Vampire” is a spicy fun treat.  I love Justin and Vivi together.  They may be an unlikely couple but they definitely share some major sparks.  I love the conflict between them.  They are after all on opposite sides.  There was only one thing wrong with “Vivi and the Vampire” it wasn’t long enough! I wanted more of this adorable couple!


“Island Vacation” by Lisa Childs

Piper Reynolds has been in hiding for years.  She was once a supermodel, but now she disguises herself as an accountant.  When she wins her firm’s Christmas raffle she is sent on a dream vacation…or at least that is what it’s supposed to be.  Unfortunately for Piper, when she arrives it’s to discover a very angry vampire has brought her there for revenge.  Roarke is looking for the woman that killed his brother.  He needs revenge on the vicious woman, but when she arrives he is thrown for a loop.  Is she really the woman that killed his brother? How could he possibly have these types of feelings for a murderer?  Can Piper convince Roarke that it was his brother at fault and not her? Will she lose her heart and her life to the handsome vampire?

“Island Vacation” is teeming with intense scenes and raw attraction.  I wasn’t sure if I was going to like this story at first because of Roarke’s harshness but as he and Piper start interacting he softens and becomes a character that I can like.  Roarke and Piper’s story is a heavy one but a good one.


Vacation with a Vampire is a good vampire anthology.  Lots of love in the air with these stories.  “Vivi and the Vampire” is a definite favorite.  If you are into vampires you will enjoy these stories with their sexy vampires and headstrong heroines.
