Valiant is the third book in Laurann Dohner’s sexy New Species series. Valiant may be the most possessive and stubborn male yet to find his mate in this hot action-filled series. Tammy starts out as a seemingly timid character but quickly shows she is made of sturdier stuff. What I really like about Ms. Dohner’s stories is the fact that each one keeps a rapid pace while the story remains fluid and highly entertaining. In Valiant, the New Species’ enemies keep coming out of the woodwork determined to eradicate the new race. Tammy and Valiant must battle their feelings for each other while dealing with the crazies out to get them. I like that Tammy keeps her sense of humor during a large part of the story, taking the changes and complications of a relationship with Valiant in stride. I also like the turn the story took at the end. With reader getting a gritty glimpse into the harsh former reality of the New Species race. Tammy and Valiant keep the story hot with their passionate love making. I thoroughly enjoyed how Tammy shows just how strong and perfect she is for Valiant. She proves she is capable of taking care of herself and others! Valiant is another not-to-be-missed novel from Laurann Dohner.
