Wicked Beast has an intriguing and well-developed storyline with some very hot sex. The fact that Cord feeds off of Kelly’s sexual release is sexy but a bit erotic-romance cliché, and his Hulk-like grunting at the end is a little corny. As charming as Kelly’s daughter Minuet is, I find it distracting to have a child play such a big role, especially in a very sexually charged story. Her speech and mannerisms didn’t ring true to me either. Maybe it’s because it’s fast paced, but the connection between Cord and Kelly and Legion and Molly (another dragon and his mate) feels superficial and mostly based on sexual chemistry. While I like Wicked Beast’s interesting plotline, the rest of the story fell a bit flat for me.
