Rigid, unswerving military man Lieutenant Auri is trying to adjust to his current posting. From a battle ready setting to diplomatic duty on board the Hagan Fell there’s quite an adjustment. Their mission is to fly to the Felinian home world so that the stuck up snobs on board can sign a new trade agreement.
Lt. Auri is ordered to accompany the diplomats to the final round of negotiations and discovers that he is part of the deal. Horrified that he is about to become the mate of Felin leader Kanar and the newest member of his harem, Auri runs, but not before bonding with Kanar. The repercussions of Auri insisting on his freedom have far reaching consequences. Now, it’s too late for Auri to choose his own direction because others depend on him, even his mate.
Wishes do indeed come true eventually for one lonely lieutenant. Taken on a wild, darkly sensual adventure Auri fights against the future he’s pushed into with every beat of his heart. Auri had one straightforward future planned and he understandably fairs poorly against a fate he never imagined. Emotionally challenging throughout the story, Auri refuses to let anyone in and reacts badly to his first stirrings of affection for Kanar and his harem. Admire his stubbornness to a point. His life becomes a soul searching trial by fire until the day he lets Kanar love him in the all consuming Wishes.
