Craig is the quiet, cool as ice MacGilvary brother. Known for his rough edges and take charge attitude, Craig, a SWAT officer for the El Torro County Sheriff’s Department, is about to have his world rocked by the feisty Leigh. Craig met Leigh over a year ago and felt an instant attraction but his desire to remain unattached squelched the feelings. However, when it appears Leigh may be in danger the only thing Craig can think of is making sure she is safe.
Leigh a wedding planner is currently planning the wedding of her best friend Celeste and Mick MacGilvary, Craig’s brother. Seeing Craig all the time is going to make it difficult for Leigh to deny the feelings boiling inside her since she first saw Craig. Leigh has a thing about possessive, controlling men and when Craig comes riding to her rescue that’s just how he comes off. Leigh and Craig both feel the fire between them but will they be able to overcome their issues with each other and relationships? Will life get in the way and tear them apart before they get the chance to find happiness?
Within His Embrace is another great addition to Denise A. Agnew’s Heart of Justice series. I have absolutely loved this series! Craig and Leigh are wonderfully complex characters. Their passion shines through the pages. They are genuine characters with real issues. One of the things I loved about Within His Embrace was the fact that it could be called Within Her Embrace as well. Craig needs Leigh as much as she needs him. They are there for each other equally helping one another through the trials and tribulations that come along with life. Craig, who has come off as cold and unfeeling in the previous novels, opens up to become this wonderful person. I could feel his pain through the pages when faced with his greatest fear and it was amazing. Within His Embrace is a fantastic romance with enough suspense to keep you riveted to your seat.
