A day like any other for the Montana based Chanku pack.  Laughter, love, babies, and friendly competitions are in plentiful supply with Alpha Anton Cheval and mate Keisha loosely calling the shots for the group. Sure there are problems that crop up, sometimes difficult ones, but today is a good day, or at least it was meant to be.

Several of the males, including Adam Wolf, are pitted against each other playing a computer game so Adam’s mate, Eve Reynolds, offers to drive into town for supplies.  Eve takes her eyes off the road for a moment and the unthinkable occurs.  By rights their Chanku goddess should be able to save them from such a simple yet costly error, but she doesn’t.

The great Mother chooses to punish the Chanku goddess for a tragedy that wasn’t supposed to happen, something that puts Eve in an incredible position not of her choosing.  Of course Adam is inconsolable.  There is nothing except grief keeping his heart beating and even that becomes too much of a burden.  The Chanku pack as a whole will do everything within their power to help Adam find the will to live and deal with the aftermath of heartbreak.  Nobody said being a goddess was perfect.

The Chanku have dealt with intense sadness and despair, but nothing compares to Wolf Tales 10 by talented author Kate Douglas.  Tragedy strikes and the pack is left to pick up the pieces with Adam Wolf the focus of this storyline, plus a new character or two.  As with all of the previous stories, Wolf Tales is extremely erotic, downright scorching hot at times.  There are same sex lovemaking and group encounters too.  While there is a solid plot with great emotional depth, for the most part it is the sexual marathons that take up the pages here.  Fans of the series will love this addition whereas new readers can understand it, but should start with an earlier tale.  Wolf Tales 10 is unbelievably hot, yet still manages to showcase an enjoyable story with tears and laughter.
