Wrath was recently rescued from one of the disgusting Mercile facilities; a place where Wrath and other New Species like him were tortured. Now Wrath is on a mission to help others like him. He is used to a solitary existence and isn’t eager to mix with his kind but instead joins the human task force that searches for other Mercile facilities.
Lauren is just doing her job when she stumbles into trouble. She finds herself at the mercy of three huge hunky men and they think she is in cahoots with some evil people. However, their persistent interrogation doesn’t seem to affect her body’s attraction to one of her abductors.
Wrath must become Lauren’s protector in more ways than one. He must not only protect her from his enemies but he must also protect her from himself. He believes himself a danger to the small female. Can Lauren convince her warrior that she can handle anything he throws her way?
Wrath is driven by strong characters and even stronger writing. I have to say I couldn’t wait for 919/Wrath to get a story and I love the fact that at the beginning of Wrath we get to experience his naming and of course he chose Wrath, which is perfect! I was immediately drawn to the plight of 919/Wrath in Brawn. The reader gets an inside glimpse of the types of cruelty the New Species were subjected to in Brawn with 919/Wrath. I love the fact that we get to follow this character from the dark depths of hell into the sunlight as he finds love!
Wrath is incredibly unsure of himself when it comes to the opposite sex. Even though he is a strong warrior he comes off very vulnerable. Lauren is a firecracker and I love their interactions. There is no denying their strong attraction but Wrath’s fear for her is a wedge between them. Wrath is a great New Species story. Laurann Dohner knows how to tell a sexy shifter story where love and adventure can go together seamlessly.
