Declan is sent to court with his dead enemy’s sister to protect her until the King can find a place for her. Declan never counted on having feelings for the mysterious healer.

Lady Liadain Campbell is used to doing her own thing and being at court with all the pomp and circumstance is no fun for her. Being in close proximity to playboy Declan is not helping either. Liadain is not sure about the feelings Declan causes within her. One thing she does know is that she doesn’t want to be shackled to a man that doesn’t want her.

When Declan gets tricked into marrying Lady Liadain neither is particularly happy but neither can deny they have feelings for each other. Will they be able to find love before a plot to kill the King puts them in the line of fire?

Victoria Roberts X Marks the Scot is brimming with sexual chemistry, humor and a stellar plotline. I was anxious to see how Ms. Roberts would turn Declan from drunken bad boy to romance hero. In Temptation in a Kilt, Declan seemed to have only two things on his mind, drinking and sexing. It seems that with responsibility comes maturity as Declan takes on the role of protector in X Marks the Scot. It is great seeing him deal with his conflicting feelings for Liadain. I love that Liadain is such a tough woman! She stands up to Declan and this provides some great moments in their story. X Marks the Scot is a wickedly good romance and I can’t wait to read what Ms. Roberts has in store next for her Bad Boys of the Highlands.
