Cat and Bones escaped the paranormal world war as winners but there are some left over ramifications still plaguing the dynamic duo.  The Voodoo Queen’s gift to Cat has ghosts coming out of the woodwork to visit her.  One of the ghosts has a special request of the Night Huntress – help her stop an evil ghost from completing devious deeds.

Heinrich Kramer was a famous witch hunter until he met with death hundreds of years ago.  Now every year at Halloween, he takes physical form to torture and sacrifice three innocent women to gain power.  Unfortunately for him, Cat and Bones have made it their mission to stop him.  Heinrich is not one to be defeated easily and has many nasty tricks up his sleeves.

Cat and Bones have more problems on their plate then Heinrich.  Cat’s uncle is still around and no one knows why.  There is a new government official on the prowl for all of Cat’s secrets and willing to do whatever it takes to unearth them.  Cat and Bones will have to search One Grave At A Time to find the horrid Heinrich while fending off the government determined to one up them.  Who will survive unscathed in the latest otherworldly battle?

One Grave At A Time is the sixth Night Huntress book and I feel like I fell in love with this series all over again.  Granted I never fell out of love with the series but I remain amazed at Jeaniene Frost’s ability to create innovative unparalleled out of this world stories.  Every time I think I know all there is to know about Cat and Bones, Ms. Frost creates new layers of depth.  Cat and Bones have just cemented their title as favorite couple of all time!  When a series starts, it’s all about getting to the ‘in love’ part; there is plenty of overt passion and sexual chemistry floating around and when they find ‘love’, the couple often becomes boring.  However, that’s not the case with Cat and Bones – their relationship keeps getting stronger as time goes on.  What I love about Ms. Frost is the way she has allowed the natural progression of their wonderful relationship.  This couple still has it going on…their passion may be more covert now but it’s obvious to all that their fire burns bright!  Their missions take more precedence now than their time together but it’s clear through every word or look between them that there will never be another for these two.  Cat and Bones have a sexy and stunning relationship.

I could go on forever but that’s enough of my ode to Cat and Bones.  It’s time to talk about the kick-ass action going on in One Grave At A Time!!  There are so many action sequences that are off the charts, to make this story unique and a killer!  The villain is despicable and easy to hate.  There are new characters brought in that lighten up this dark story.  Tyler is a definite hit in my book.  He may just be Cat and Bones’ link to the other side but this character is a keeper!  One Grave At A Time is filled with riveting, pulse-pounding scenes that leave you gasping for air, and wondering how they are going to survive.  Prepare yourself for blood and gore galore, interspersed with tons of dark, witty humor, fierce fighting, and one of a kind romance as you flip the pages of One Grave At A Time.
