Caleb, known as the Angel of Death, lives in the human world when not doing the job he was created for – erasing people from existence. When Caleb is assigned to get someone, they don’t just disappear but are totally erased and eradicated from the world. Caleb gets a new job that takes him from his sunny and warm California home to the cold and rugged Alaskan wilderness. Not really his first choice of vacation destinations but he has to complete the job.
The man Caleb is assigned to erase this time is Leandro Warnell, but something seems wrong when Caleb finally comes face to face with his mark. First off is the strong attraction, and then the instant passion between them. However, that is nothing when Caleb sees his mark on Leandro’s body – a man he is sure he hasn’t met before. No one can tell Caleb what is going on or why. Leandro would give his life for Caleb and it may come to that. However, Caleb is not going to eradicate anyone before knowing exactly what happened between them, when it happened, and why he gave Leandro his mark. Caleb uses every bit of magic and skill he has to discover the answers of why his body knows the love of a man he can’t remember. But when the answers come, is it too late for both of them?
Love can change fate and last throughout the ages. Caleb and Leandro learn this in Capricorn: Forgotten Faces. What began as just another job, quickly turned into a journey of discovery when Caleb is given Leandro as his mark. I just could not imagine what Leandro had gone through while waiting for Caleb to return. I loved Caleb’s determination to discover what happened during a time he couldn’t remember. The feelings and love between Leandro and Caleb came through the pages starkly, and had me wondering what the answer to Caleb’s quest was. Then the answer had me hoping that somehow Leandro and Caleb could find a way to have the life and love that was denied them so long ago. The solution was absolutely perfect and was just as deep in feeling as the love Leandro and Caleb had. The richness of feeling and the journey that both Caleb and Leandro traveled kept me involved from the minute they met until the final page was turned. Capricorn: Forgotten Faces proves just how deep and lasting a love can be, and that not even fate can destroy it. For all those reasons and several others, I Joyfully Recommend Capricorn: Forgotten Faces as one you won’t want to miss.
