Maxie Reigate has heard the legends and stories of the dark tale of death and mayhem that happened to an ancestor and her husband.  It was a case of jealously taken to another level.  Heck, Maxie would even admit privately to a crush on the man in a painting her father had, supposedly the man in this legend.  However, Maxie just could not believe the magical aspect of this story no matter how much her father tried to impress it upon her.  Magic and druids just were not real to Maxie.  That is until she experienced first hand that not only was magic and the Druids alive, but she was to become a powerful Druid Priestess.

Suddenly Maxie not only believes in magic but she knows now the legend is true and still in motion. Beyond that, a sexy Fae Prince, Breslyn of Dagda and the hot man she had dreamed about, Druid Julian Talbot now surround Maxie making it hard to concentrate with all the pheromones flying around.  All three discover that the danger is far worse then they imagined and on more than one level. Maxie is on a fast track to learn about her inner magic because it’s going to take all of them to stop the danger, and save the wall that separates Fae from man. Like that isn’t enough to deal with, Maxie also has to figure out what her heart is telling her about Breslyn and Julian. Julian, Maxie and Breslyn are determined the past will not be repeated. The question is—who will have the most power when it counts?

A life-changing journey brings danger, awakening, and more importantly, passion in Spellbound – Legend.  I’ll say right off the top that this is one hot and thrilling book. I fell for all three of the main characters, fun loving Maxie, dark and brooding Julian, and one hot Fae, Breslyn. However, it wasn’t just the characters that kept me on the edge of my seat, it was the entire involved plot that included jealously, betrayal, magic, murder, and, of course, hot passion just to name a few items. By the time I turned the last page, I had found that at least one couple had discovered their love but no one was safe quite yet. Like all good thrillers, it seemed as one problem was solved another would spring up. The last few pages had me hoping that this is the first of a new series that will be worth each torturous wait for the next book. The well-written out mixture of myth and legend, not to mention the characters, all in today’s world has me Joyfully Recommending Spellbound-Legend as one book you won’t want to miss.
