Mac Dugan and his group of Dream Catchers are just hours away from putting their rescue mission into action when danger from an old enemy puts that mission in danger of not happening. The Nyrians are ready to do their part to help themselves and also help the team from this secondary danger that could threaten outcome of the final rescue of the soul stone of the woman that Mac loves – Zianne. The very reason behind the Dream Catchers and Mac’s determination to fulfill the promise made so long ago.
As each hour goes by the tension is becoming stronger, the danger that much more real and the discoveries of just what the mind can do all but overwhelms and thrills the team at turns. Events both on Earth and off of it are changing the timetable and role assignments and yet the team is still determined to save both the Earth and the Nyrians from the creatures that would destroy everything. Passion is turning into love for several members of the team and it’s going to be that love that will help them all through the endless night that approaches. When morning comes and the smoke is gone, what will have survived the night? The team, the Nyrians, the group fighting against them and the world all have a fifty-fifty shot at seeing the sun rise one more time.
Dream Unchained is not only an erotic continuation of a mission to not only save the world but to also save the last members of a race who were only guilty of curiosity and trusting the wrong people and paid for it many, many times over. I would love to tell you more, but anything else would give just too much away and destroy the same feelings that I had while reading. Watching as the group worked to put their mission into action while trying to keep an earthly enemy at bay had me flipping the pages as fast as I could and still be able to comprehend what I was reading. The tense filled suspense was only equaled by the erotic dreams and then reality that each member of the group came to feel. The final battles had me on the edge of my seat on whether characters I had come to love would make it out okay and just what would happen when the world discovered what was really going on.
First off I have to thank Ms. Douglas for keeping her promise to me before I go any farther. I was told that she would get me off the cliff that I had been hanging on by my fingernails after finishing the previous book. Man did she! I was thrown off that cliff, fell with abandon and have no regrets about any of it. The only thing I’m sorry about is that this is the last time I will see the unique group of new and old friends who composed the Dream Catchers and those that helped save the day. However, I know that I can always pick them back up and relive all the feelings all over again.
Heck yes, I am Joyfully Recommending Dream Unchained as a must read, an instant favorite and one hot series that I swear is smoking on my shelves as I write this.
