Keely Walsh is much more than just a cute looking package loaded with brains. With her five older brothers and father, almost all with heavy military backgrounds, Keely knows how to handle just about anyone. So when her consulting job with NSA showed one of her brothers in deadly danger, Keely was determined to get him and his associates out of South America safely. What she wasn’t expecting, and had no idea how to handle, is her brother’s boss Ren.
Ren Maddox is a co-owner of a security agency, which specializes in working for governments and large companies. While on a fact finding mission in Argentina, Ren did not expect his team to be saved by a petite gun-toting woman who just happens to be the sister of one of his men. Ren is a retired Marine and suddenly wants to protect Keely and to kiss her silly – not necessarily in that order.
Keely has never been floored just by looking at a man but then again she has never met anyone like Ren. As they all fight their way out of the Argentine jungles, the sparks are flying as fast as the bullets, stopping just short of full combustion. They finally make it back to Ren’s home base, only to find out the danger has followed them. Now it’s a race against time to discover who is the mole within their security agency before he strikes out at Ren’s only weak spot – Keely.
When a bright and feisty woman meets a fierce ex-Marine, better watch out for the fire that ignites. When Keely met Ren everyone held their breath waiting for what would happen next in Eye of the Storm. Keely might be small but she is mighty, and knows how to fight. Ren runs his business with a firm hand and his own rules until he comes up against Keely. Once I met both Keely and Ren, I couldn’t look away from their story and read until it was over. The mixture of their fiery passion, the danger that seems to be following them, and the mystery of just who was dumb enough to go against them, held me riveted and turning the pages. The ribbon of humor that surfaced in almost every turn added to a plot that should not be missed. Eye of the Storm will hold you captivated with its passion, suspense, and humor, and leave you wanting the next book immediately. I know it did me. A keeper that begs to be reread often, I Joyfully Recommend Eye of the Storm.
I found the secondary characters just as engaging as Keely and Ren. I’m waiting not so patiently until the next adventure with the members of Security Specialists International.
