All the hard work, the blood, sweat and swearing has paid off big time. Conquest is a certified, numero uno band with chart topping singles, hordes of fans, and every accolade a young band could hope for. It’s doubtful that many don’t know the name Jesse Alexander now, lead singer of the hottest band around.
The world tour is magic on two fronts for Jesse. First, Conquest is a hit with all the fans and most importantly the band is on a double bill with Evan Arden, loved by fans the world over and loved by Jesse, in secret. Both Jesse and Evan fear that knowledge of their love would destroy each other’s career so for now they must hide their true feelings.
But it’s time to hit the studio again and work on their sophomore album which Jesse insists will be even better than the first one. Unfortunately, cracks are beginning to appear in the band, namely with their drummer Trish O’Connell. She is making noises about leaving the band and won’t tell Jesse why. Also, their label Phoenix Records has signed two other bands, Black Heart Down with another prima donna lead singer, Kyler Christenson who once knew Evan intimately and even worse, a grungy punk band fronted by a wise ass, ignorant kid. With all these volatile personalities in one place there are sure to be explosions. On top of all that, Jesse and Evan are finding it more and more difficult to hide their love for each other from the world. It’s only a matter of time before the truth comes out, except who will it be, the lovers or someone with a grudge…
No Fear is an unstoppable mixture of steamy sexual interludes and the most loving, rocker romance to date. Jesse, Evan, and the large cast of characters come alive on the pages. Readers will feel as though they are in the room watching the story unfold. While No Fear picks up where Conquest left off, this is still easily understood as a standalone tale. But I think readers should check out Conquest to truly understand just what Jesse and Evan went through to get to this point. No Fear is filled with emotional highs and lows, trauma, and laughter, a larger than life story and loads of dialogue. Occasionally motivations by secondary characters is shrugged off too soon to keep the story moving, the reasons are valid, but because the reader becomes so invested in these characters you want them to be able to explain themselves more in depth. Author S.J. Frost writes a seriously entertaining, sizzling hot M/M love story that totally satisfies. I Joyfully Recommend this feel good romance called No Fear.
