Good for nothing, which is an apt description for twenty year old Casey Eller. He barely made it through high school and nowadays he earns his living at a factory in Dublin, Ga. In fact, the only person who would care if he went missing is his sister Kim. Mom’s been dead for awhile and dad’s basically a mean drunk who only cares for his next beer.
Sherriff Finn Kirkland on the other hand is someone the entire county admires. He runs a tight ship with his small police force. All of his life is wrapped up in his job and career.
Nobody ever remembers a time when Sherriff Kirkland cracked a smile or made a joke.
Already arrested once for possession, Casey can’t afford another arrest on his record, especially when he’s got enough pot to be charged with intent to sell. That’s prison time. These thoughts are running through Casey’s mind when Sherriff Kirkland pulls him over, high as a kite as well. Sherriff Kirkland surprises him with an offer. If he does a favor for Kirkland then Casey won’t be charged. Little does either man know that this meeting will set in motion events that will change their lives forever, whether they want it or not.
Word on a Wing has gritty realism, a fascinating storyline, and erotic heat. A hard to put down provocative and sensual drama. There are twists and turns when least expected, leaving the main characters to deal with situations they aren’t sure that they can cope with, especially for Casey. Their relationship slowly builds, layer upon layer as Finn and Casey try to figure things out between them. Readers may not all agree with some of the twists in the plot, but the climax is nonetheless compelling. Word on a Wing digs deep into these flawed characters and comes out a winner. I Joyfully Recommend Word on a Wing. It is such a riveting story.
