Sage Anderson came to Eternity Springs to rest and recover. Sage was with Doctors Without Borders in war torn Africa. She has seen and experienced things that have changed her forever. Luckily she made it home alive but not without her scars. Sage hoped to mend her wounds in Eternity Springs but one emergency and a hot blooded man brings her panic back to the forefront. Now the greatest test of her life begins. Can Sage recover and find true love or will she give up before it gets good?
Colt Rafferty has been a summer resident of Eternity Springs most of his life. As a Government Safety expert, it’s his job to help save lives, but how can he do that when people won’t listen to him? After another tragic workplace accident that could have been prevented, Colt decides to return to Eternity Springs to find some peace and decide what he wants to do with the rest of this life. Colt never expected a fiery red head to stir his blood and make him think thoughts of love and forever.
Sage and Colt both have their scars. Eternity Springs can either be their new beginning or the place where they lose what they never knew they could have: eternal love.
Hummingbird Lake is an emotional firestorm that takes romance to new heights. I became enraptured with Sage and Colt immediately. The chemistry is palpable and they have an amazing thing; sparks fly even when they are fighting. This is my first Eternity Springs novel so I am going to start there. I absolutely fell in love with this quaint little town. I had no trouble following the second book and found it easy to get attached to all the characters within. All of the characters are deep and driven to make things better in this town. Emily March has created a lovable town filled with characters you want to see happy. Hummingbird Lake will leave you eager to find your own Eternity Springs. The descriptions of the town Ms. March lays out for her reader are stunning and dreamy.
Ms March has also filled Hummingbird Lake with oodles of passion and heartache. I felt as if my heart was lanced as Sage battled her memories while trying to move on with her life. I definitely had a powerful reaction to Sage and her plight. I still cannot imagine the suffering she experienced. It makes me want to tear up again. Colt has his own problems but the way he deals with his affection for Sage and her problems is beautiful. Colt is a man after every woman’s heart; he has mine! I’m smitten with Colt Rafferty. Hummingbird Lake is a marvelous romance that will make you melt. I think Hummingbird Lake makes an excellent summer read and I’m Joyfully Recommending it! Prepare to experience powerful emotions Hummingbird Lake is an unforgettable story filled with hope and love!
