Kaye Brand belonged to one of the strongest mage Houses.  When she was fifteen she was set to marry Ferrol Grey but when she refused the marriage she changed her life and her family’s forever.

Kaye now makes money using her mage fire talent.  There is a revolution coming in the mage community.  Kaye is determined to keep to herself.  After all, she left the mage world when they turned against her.  However, The Order of Angels has a job that only Kaye can complete.

Angels and mages are sworn enemies but it’s angel Jack Bastian’s job to persuade Kaye to join the Angels in their latest endeavor.  The angels are trying to figure out what Kaye’s ex-fiancé Ferrol Grey is planning.   Jack has no use for mages but something about Kaye draws him like a moth to a flame.  He finally gets her to agree but now Jack has put Kaye in the line of fire and he’s desperate to keep her from harm.

Can an angel and a mage team up to successfully save the world from a coming catastrophe?  As the world suffers from some ‘not so natural’ disasters Kaye and Jack struggle to find the evil behind it and a way to deal with their burgeoning feelings.  Will they find their own happily ever after or will they lose everything?

Erin Kellison’s Fire Kissed is one delicious read with its fiery characters and passion filled plot!  Ms. Kellison has a unique way of drawing her readers into the story immediately and Fire Kissed is no different.  The beginning is startling.  The view the reader gets into Kaye’s life at that moment is vivid, striking and just a little bit terrifying.  I felt like I was holding my breath when the tension thickened as Kaye discovered some harsh truths.  When we get our first look at Kaye years later we find her a very different person.  The events of the past have absolutely changed this woman making her tough-as-nails and she proves her strength with her fire power.

Jack and Kaye are a formidable pair.  You can feel the power and attraction between them upon their first meeting.  They have the potential to be unstoppable but first they will have to trust each other.  I love everything about their courtship.  When these two come together the pages explode with heat.

Ms. Kellison is particularly hard on these two.  They have some huge obstacles to overcome.  I believe Ms. Kellison took a massive risk with a direction she took in Fire Kissed.  I am thoroughly impressed by Ms. Kellison’s excellent storytelling and her guts.  I couldn’t believe she took such a wild risk with her characters but applaud her for taking the chance and then taking this story to great heights.  Kaye and Jack make Fire Kissed sensational.  Their relationship and the dynamics surrounding the unfolding Mage plotline make Fire Kissed  unforgettable.  I love the ‘mage versus angel’ storyline.  I love learning more about The Order and the mages.  I could definitely feel like this story is building to become something even bigger and more intense.  I can’t wait to visit the Shadow Kissed world once again.  Fire Kissed is a paranormal story of the highest caliber.
