Find out what happened Before the Witches in Karina Cooper’s fascinating new novella.  The intriguing title is an attention getter and then you get to page one and become invested in Katya immediately.  Katya’s strong will and huge heart make it easy to become attached to these wounded characters.  Nigel is the perfect hero and match for Katya.  A hardworking father who only wants the best for his daughter; he strives to bring down the most evil of criminals.  Nigel and Katya have instant chemistry not just sexual there’s more to it.  As their eyes meet it’s as if they know their lives have just changed and the rest of their lives are dependent on this new person.  As if these two didn’t have enough problems trying to bring down a prostitution ring, their world begins falling apart.  The disaster scenes, which were brilliantly written by Ms. Cooper, are fantastically intense.  I felt as if I was perched on the edge of a trembling building holding on for dear life along with these characters.  I could see the ash falling around them and feel the horrifying emotions that passed through these characters as they realized what was happening.  If you like dramatic, highly intense, passionate novels Before the Witches is for you!  Before the Witches is a pulse-pounding, breath-stealing nonpareil feat!  I’ll be impatiently waiting for the next story in this incredible series!
