There is simply no way Lady Jayne Seymour, Marchioness of Walfort, can do what her husband asks of her.  Her desire for a child notwithstanding, she just cannot bring herself to even contemplate his proposal that she cuckold him with the man responsible for his paralysis.  But when she sees the desire in Ainsley’s eyes and the yearning on her husband’s face, she agrees, but has a few rules of her own.

Ainsley and Jane find out the hard way that rules are made to be broken – and hearts are just as susceptible.

I despaired of Jane ever understanding Ainsley. She was so adamant that they not have a relationship.  And then I began to understand her.  Deep down in her most protected heart of hearts she desired Ainsley and to her that was betraying her husband, no matter that he wanted Jane to conceive.  Ainsley was more open. He wore his emotions for everyone to see and his agreement to Walfort’s suggestion seemed to be one of the hardest things he had ever done, especially since he was quietly in love with Jane from the very beginning.

Lorraine Heath never fails to make me cry.  In fact, I don’t think I have ever been able to read one of her books without grabbing a tissue and Waking Up With the Duke is no different.  The love scenes were forceful but tender, passionate without pretense, and simply irresistible to me as a reader.  There is no way you won’t be able to not love Ainsley. I couldn’t stop myself from wanting to grab him and keep him as my very own.  I highly and joyfully recommend Waking Up With the Duke! I couldn’t put it down for even once second!
