Des has long been leery of the werewolves, especially the female ones since an event in his past.  So why does this paranormal cop (and mage) want the beautiful werewolf Lana almost to distraction?  She is strong, flamboyant, independent, mouthy, and oh yeah sexy as hell, not the type of woman he has ever gone for in the past.  But those thoughts will have to wait as he is helping to track down and put an end to a new drug in Detroit.  What he doesn’t expect to happen is that he and Lana will be working together.

Lana thinks that Des is one of the sexiest men she has ever seen.  But, she will not be with someone who seems to hate the very thing that she is, let alone doesn’t take her seriously… ever….  But when they end up working together it gets harder to ignore her heart, and womanly ‘parts’ and stick to her resolutions.

Now suddenly Des and Lana are trying to return home.  This has them fleeing through multiple different realities and increasing dangerous situations.  These two will have to rely on each other and get closer than either of these stubborn paranormals had hoped.  Can they survive their journey and let their hearts rule their minds?  Or will they both miss out of the best thing they could ever hope for?

Finally the book I have long been anticipating—Lana and Des’s book.  Motor City Mage picks up where Motor City Wolf left off.  Ms. Spencer Pape knows how to spin a tale of suspense, love and strong characters expertly.  I love how she makes both Des and Lana fight for what they know is right as well as determine where they can make personal compromises.  Motor City Mage is an action packed, gripping love story that will span more than just one plane of existence.

Motor City Mage is part of a fantastic series, the Motor City books and while it can be read as a stand-alone I feel that you will enjoy it more if you read the entire series.
