If there is such a thing as a playboy enforcer in the vampire world, then Aiden Afflack is just that.  At first, most people would see nothing in Aiden besides his good looks and his love of having a good time, but once you look below the surface, Aiden’s deadly skill in hunting and taking out rogue vampires has made him one of the deadliest enforcers that Dr. Delano Bowen has.

Sam Shea is known worldwide for her breathtaking pictures.   Even though most of the world believes she is a man is beside the point.  Sam just has this ability to know when and where to be in order to take those pictures of nature that will have you holding your breath.  However, this last time she goes where her dreams tell her to find not a crazy storm, but a sexy man who has something that just draws her in.

Aiden knew of Sam’s name, but until he saw her watching him, he had just assumed that Sam Shea was a man because of the pictures.  When Sam and Aiden do finally meet in person, she is out to get him arrested and it’s not any prettier the second time they meet.  However, when Aiden realizes that Sam’s abilities can help him, he isn’t about to let her deny his request that they work together.  The partnership is definitely more in Aiden’s favor than Sam’s.  The passion that has sprung up between them flares hot and fast as their partnership goes forward.  That passion doesn’t stop the fierce fights when the hunting turns dangerous and both have to reassess their actions.  Finally, out on one last mission both Aiden and Sam will learn who is behind the new attacks and discover a way to save the day and their passion.

An enforcer and a locator discover that fate has their future and passion already figured out.  Aiden and Sam find this out first hand in Nightfall.  At first, I wasn’t a fan of how Aiden forced Sam’s agreement but I could see that Sam was no one’s push over.  I learned the answer to Sam’s steel backbone and Aiden’s decision to become a vampire and an enforcer as their story unfolded.  Both of their histories had me hoping that their passion would give them both all the love they had missed.  I was once again about ready to smack Aiden for how he was acting towards Sam when his eyes were thrust wide open.  Their last mission had me on the edge of my seat with all the danger, passion and raw emotions that leaped out from the pages.  Their future together was everything I could have wished for them and had me knowing that I would be pulling out this book very soon again to re-read their journey towards it.  Nightfall takes two strong and sexy characters and takes their journey towards love through a trail off danger and passion.  If you can’t tell yet, it also is a story that I just had to Joyfully Recommend as a must read.
