Alice Clark is a schoolteacher and a Wyr – a very secretive type of Wyr. Use to her normal non-exciting daily routine and its comfort, here lately Alice has had anything but normal or comfort. Alice has just discovered a friend who was murdered and this makes the third friend to be murdered in days. Terrified when an unknown man shows up, Alice hides and runs unsure whom to turn to.
Gideon Riehl is a detective in the Wyr Division of Violent Crimes and an experienced wolf in dealing with violent natures. But this serial killer is keeping Gideon in his toes. Just when he figures out who might be next, Gideon shows up just after the killer does. What really drives Gideon insane is that his nose tells him someone is in the house with him but there is nowhere to hide and Gideon can’t find the person.
Smart thinking helps Gideon discover who the witness was, but when he tries to talk with Alice, he scares her silly instead. Alice turns to the police for help only to discover the man chasing her was a cop and a very sexy one too. Gideon has found his witness and more importantly to him, she is his soul mate. Danger and passion surround Alice and Gideon as they work together to put the clues together and learn the identity of the killer before anyone else dies. Will the answers come before time runs out?
Murder brings two hearts together in a whirlwind of passion and danger in True Colors. I loved getting a look at some of the other Wyrs in this world. I was immediately involved with both Alice and Gideon and their actions to put together the pieces of a murderous puzzle. Even with danger hot on their heels, I could smile at the warmth of a passion first found. At first, I thought for sure that Gideon would overwhelm Alice, but I soon found out that Alice had many hidden depths and that Gideon was the perfect soul mate for her. The answers almost came too late and yet the outcome proved that love and the trust that comes with it can happen in an instant. True Colors has the greatest mixture of passion, suspense, and murder that is twisted together with just the right amount of humor.
