Quentin Fielding had everything a man could want: money, women, and power. But that was before the change fifty years ago. Now, in a post-apocalyptic world, he has a gift that helps him to read things he touches. He also discovers that his sadistic father is alive, and one of those responsible for the near-destruction of the world.
His main goal is to find the man – and kill him.
Zoe Kapoor is a tough, independent woman who stays away from the crowd. Unfortunately she’s never been able to resist Quentin. They’ve had a series of one night stands that have left them both wanting more.
When she teams up with Quentin to find his father she thinks it will be business, along with a few hot nights of sex. But these two are meant to be, and what they find proves to be more than what they bargained for.
Abandon the Night is the third book in Joss Ware’s Envy series, and like its predecessors it sucks the reader into a fascinating world full of intriguing characters and a storyline you can’t let go of.
The most wonderful thing about these books is that a reader begins to care about the characters so much. I loved Quentin and Zoe in the previous novels and always rooted for them. Their story was all that I’d hoped for and more.
The things they discover along their journey advance the series, which made me very happy that I had the fourth book waiting in the wings.
If you are a fan of fantasy/paranormal novels, The Envy series is not to be missed. Read them in order, and keep your eyes on Quentin and Zoe. They are a true treasure.
