The spunky spitfire Vivi Angelino is about to take on Hollywood or at least the role of a Hollywood starlet.  There may be a serial killer in Hollywood stalking Oscar winners.  This year’s nominees are shaking in their stilettos not only at the prospect of winning but they are also afraid of the so-called Red Carpet Killer.  It seems Vivi resembles leading actress Cara Ferrari.  Vivi desperately wants to put the Guardian Angelinos security firm on the map.  What better way than being a body double for a Hollywood star and catching a serial killer? Of course, she will have to trade her skater looks for Hollywood chic.

Assistant Special Agent in Charge Colton Lang is the Guardian’s FBI liaison but it appears he’s set his eyes on the L.A. office.  In L.A. he could be in charge but for some reason he’s having trouble imagining leaving Boston.  Oh he knows why, it’s his wicked attraction to Vivi Angelino.  She is so totally opposite his type but she turns him on like no other.  When Lang hears her plan to impersonate Cara Ferrari he thinks it will never fly, but he soon discovers Vivi always gets her way.  Now he is worried another woman he cares for has painted a target on her head.

Vivi is in for quite a shock when she finds out Colton Lang will be her personal FBI bodyguard while she’s pretending to be Cara.  Vivi is finding it more difficult to ignore her attraction to the FBI agent.  Now that she knows he’s leaving for L.A. it would be stupid to start anything…right?  There are more people that want the Oscar winner dead than the Red Carpet Killer and now Vivi is their target.  Vivi and Lang will try to solve the mystery surrounding Cara Ferrari before the killers catch up with them.

The killer’s are closer than anyone knows in Face Of Danger.  Suspense and mystery reign supreme in Face Of Danger but be prepared to fall head over heels in love with Vivi and Lang.  My eyes still get a little misty when I think about Vivi and Lang.  Roxanne St. Claire really packed Face Of Danger with tons of emotion that will tug your heart strings.  Vivi has always been my favorite Guardian Angelino because of her funky hair-raising ways but after reading Face Of Danger I love and respect her even more.  I never imagined there was so much depth behind this seemingly care-free woman.  I could gush but I will refrain because I don’t want to give away any of Vivi’s secrets.  I will say I love her middle name and her constant butchering of Lang’s official title!  Colton Lang never met a rule he didn’t like but Vivi loves to challenge his straight-laced roots.   Lang is harboring some issues of his own.  He’s been hurt in the past and is terrified of letting it happen again but he can no longer deny his feelings for Vivi.  These two make a sizzling couple!  The scenes with Vivi and Lang are blistering hot.  I mean that may be an understatement.  There is so much burning chemistry between these two they become a raging inferno as they unleash their passion.

Face Of Danger features a sublime mystery that will keep you guessing until the end!  Ms. St. Claire definitely knows how to write one-of-a-kind mysteries interwoven with unforgettable love stories!  Face Of Danger doesn’t feature as much of the extended family as I would have liked.  I missed Uncle Nino; he’s there just not as much as I wanted.  We do get a bigger glimpse into the mystery man of the family Gabe as well as the super hacker Chessie.  What can I say I love this series!  Ms. St. Claire is three books into her Guardian Angelinos series and has managed to keep the characters and story fresh, intriguing and lovable. Face Of Danger takes you on a sensational coast to coast adventure that will leave you breathless! I will be counting the days until the next Guardian Angelinos book!!
