Almost a decade has passed since Shaun McCarry last saw his father, Doyle, by choice. From early childhood Doyle dragged Shaun across the country and back again, never stopping for long in any one place. When he wasn’t moving Doyle was drinking heavily. At eighteen Shaun ran away to make a life for himself that wouldn’t include a drunken father.
Days shy of his thirtieth birthday Shaun is settled in an apartment in D.C. and enjoying a very successful job as a freelance writer for several major magazines. After returning from a month long trek in Nepal Shaun comes home to a cryptic message of danger from Doyle.
Shaun arrives in the tiny Appalachian Mountain town of Dreamspell to discover that his father is dead, supposedly killed by a bear. Shaun doesn’t realize what he’s walked into because his father never told him of a legacy, a birthright about to happen. A man from his past is also in Dreamspell. They met as teens, bonded as kindred spirits, but circumstances tore them apart. Meeting Rannon James once more will change the course of their lives when they truly reconnect because of a love that never died. No matter the bizarre tale Rannon tells Shaun, they will do anything to stay together this time. Nothing short of death will separate them, perhaps not even death itself.
Into the Woods tells a fantastical story of fairy tales, otherworldly creatures, and a love that never dies. Suspenseful from the start, Into the Woods gives readers the perfect balance of tension, action, and fantastic characters, as well as scorching hot M/M encounters. Shaun and Rannon are the real deal. Into the Woods allows the main characters to display an amazing capacity for compassion and love against overwhelming odds. This is a romance that doesn’t leave you even when the story ends. I Joyfully Recommend Into the Woods.
