Although she fought it every step of the way, Olivia Sancerre could no longer deny her desire for Ran VicMoran.  So, she did what any feisty Jaguar female would do – she boldly made advances toward him which lead to countless heated arguments and a hot, passionate love affair.  It didn’t help matters that her overassertive mother was trying to force them to mate before either Olivia or Ran was ready.

After narrowly escaping their last corrupt pack, life was good for Ran VicMoran and his littermates now that they had settled in the quiet Costa Rican rain forest, Jaguar village.  Ran wasn’t looking for a mate; nevertheless, he found one in Olivia Sancerre and it wasn’t long before they were caught up in a torrential love affair.  But the couple’s blissfulness was short lived with Olivia’s officious mother constant meddling, and more importantly, the danger lurking among them set on destroying the Jaguar way of life.

Wow!  Readers, if you haven’t experienced Lorie O’Clare’s Black Jag series, then you are missing out on a fantastic treat.  As a fan of Ms. O’Clare’s writing, I know that her shifting characters will have an emotional, realistic flair whether on two feet or in their fur.  Ran was honor-bound, highly intelligent and a true Alpha to the core; while, Olivia was strong-willed, bull-headed and a very confident person.  Together the couple was a force to be reckoned with, and their sexual encounters were off the charts filled with smoking, hot passion.  I don’t know which intrigued me more, the non-stop, thrilling suspense or the heated erotic romance, but one thing is for sure, Black Passion is one story not to be missed.  I joyfully recommend this book for all shape shifter fans.

Black Passion is book two in Ms. O’Clare’s Black Jag series and can be read as a standalone.
