Ariston and Chloe had entered a business marriage, one that both parties felt the other completely agreed upon. Ariston believed that both he and Chloe stood to gain from this marriage. However, when deceptions were uncovered, emotions overtook, and parties reacted instead of acting. Two years later, a divorce behind them, they meet up again and soon realize that beliefs they held during their marriage were erroneous. Chloe has come to Ariston seeking assistance, and Ariston is determined that the original agreement shall be enacted before he considers helping her.
Not Just the Greek’s Wife sizzled with the chemistry between Ariston and Chloe! I enjoyed the fact that these two just couldn’t keep their hands off of each other. Not Just the Greek’s Wife showed that they both assumed so much about each other because they were manipulated by others and from past experiences. However, both Ariston and Chloe were adult enough to work out their differences early on in Not Just the Greek’s Wife, which left more time to watch them truly fall in love.
I was thrilled to see Ariston’s point of view and the fact that he admits his own flaws in that view. He does call Chloe on her actions at one point and, while I can understand his stance on said action in Not Just the Greek’s Wife, I have to say I LOVED the fact that she did that. It is a little nasty of me, but usually it is the hero that would pull something like that and for it to be the heroine in this instance just set this book apart for me!!! I also liked the fact that while Ariston was an alpha, he did have a tender emotional side that he thought he had hidden and lacked, but he didn’t. He hung on to items because of the memories they brought him. I also liked that Ariston thought he had to hold true to type in order to attain Chloe again. Chloe was a strong heroine who only approached Ariston out of necessity for another. She presumed that Ariston would help in her situation, especially because the road there had been paved for just such a setting. Not Just the Greek’s Wife left me with a warm feeling after I turned the final page, and because of this, I Joyfully Recommend Not Just the Greek’s Wife.
