Polar bear shifter Lou “Crush” Crushek is a laid back mellow guy who doesn’t have many interests outside of work and hockey, which makes waking up in his partner’s (police partner) house with a woman draped over him like a sheet throws him for a loop.  When said woman insists that he is her boyfriend he knows his head is likely to explode.

Marcella “Cella” Malone is a member of an elite feline protection unit by day and a shifter hockey player at night.  She is greatly amused by how she seems to be able to get under the big polar bear’s skin so easily.  So being a cat and curious she keeps poking at him, all the while realizing that he seems to rub her in just the right way.

When the two team up to bring down a wealthy man who seems intent on terrorizing their shifter kinds, will the bad guy have a chance?  More importantly will Crush and Cella survive the sparks that are igniting between them?

Bear Meets Girl had me laughing from the second page until the end.  Immovable force meets the determined small battering ram.  I absolutely love how Ms. Laurenston wrote Marcella’s character.  This woman/tiger is spunky, tough and determined like none other.  When Crush finds out the little “battering ram” turns out to be a pinnacle in one of his all-time favorite sports things get even more interesting.  Once the two team up to protect their species the bad guys won’t stand a chance.  Bear Meets Girl is one of the best pairing of characters I have seen in a shifter novel.  I Joyfully Recommend Bear Meets Girl to any fan of shape shifting romances.
