Sarah has always had dreams that meant something and after her mutation, she began to have prophetic visions. Sarah knows her gift is saving lives, even while it’s killing her. Her mutation has become unstable and will kill her unless someone in the underground can find a way to stabilize her – fast. A treatment has been suggested and Sarah agrees, knowing she needs a miracle to survive.
Allen was once part of the elite group, until his scientific discoveries were too close to the truth – a truth the leader did not want known. An outcast, Allen has just begun working with the mutants in the underground and Sarah’s treatment is his first challenge. Allen’s treatment goes beyond anyone’s hope; it not only stabilizes Sarah but also totally reverses her mutation. Everyone is happy except Sarah.
Sarah believes her worth as a person is over when she loses her gift of visions and is determined to get it back – even at the risk of her own life. Allen is sent to find Sarah when she disappears, since he feels responsible for her. When Sarah and Allen meet up again in a club, its erotic. All heck breaks loose as several people end up at the club at the same time, and one of them is a man all sides want. One of the people who join Sarah and Allen in the battle is General Raydon Kolter. Raydon has been sent to find the enemy by the new government. Several factors come together in the club, and Sarah now knows her true destiny, but she is going to need both Allen and Raydon in order to fulfill it. One problem, Allen and Raydon aren’t used to sharing.
One erotic destiny and three extremely different people complete a circle. Sarah has to find her way in Seer, and discovers two very special men along the way. Sarah goes on a reckless hunt to get her visions back. Allen ‘s treatment was a bit too successful and Raydon is on another mission for the new government, when all three find an erotic destiny none of them expected. When I began reading, I wondered just how the many loose ends in this series could be tied. As I read, I could feel Sarah’s hurt, Allen’s empathy, and Raydon’ determination to give them all what they needed. Greed and weakness to overcome became the path that brought Sarah, Allen and Raydon together. It felt so right that a mutant, a scientist and a military man were the ones to bring everything to a great end. Seer brings eroticism into the battle for a planet’s new life with wonderful results.
I have now read the entire Sensual Captivity series and I have loved all the characters from the beginning. Ms. Ross brought them all to life showing both strengths and weaknesses in a strong series that I plan on re-reading soon.
