Hayden Garrett and Sheriff Cal Hunter have been lovers on and off for a while now. When Hayden returns from the big city and tells Cal he’s staying, Cal reacts badly, turning away from him. Cal’s afraid of people’s reactions and of losing his job if they find out he’s gay. When something threatens to take Hayden away from him, though, Cal worries that it may be too late to tell Hayden how he really feels. 

Fortune’s Favor is a great mix of angst, sex and romance.  It doesn’t have a picture perfect ending but you can imagine how things might turn out for the men. It’s a great story, one I didn’t want to see end!
