It had been fifteen years of
tradition. Seven friends would go to the cabins. Girls in
the one, boys in the other. They had grown up, matured, and
one couple was now married.
Some things stayed the same. Cass
Edwards was the mother to all of them. She took care of the
guys, knowing they should do it themselves, but doing it
just the same. Everyone else knew they could go to her with
their problems.
And Ben Wilson was still her best
friend.
Now Cass was starting to look at Ben
differently. He was perfectly attuned to her, her friend
and confident, but Cass was afraid that if something went
wrong, she would lose Ben forever.
I was very impressed with Magic.
Although not a long story, it had tremendous
character development for seven characters. I loved the
camaraderie between them, and would love to revisit this
group. As for Ben and Cass, I do wish it had been a little
longer, but only because I hated the story to be over. I am
definitely looking into additional stories by this author. |
