Keisha Jones’ life has been in chaos for
many years. Every since she got married during her freshman
year in college, Keisha has been on a steep downhill roller
coaster ride with no relief in sight. After ten years of
living with an abusive husband, Keisha finally found the
courage to break free with the support of a dear girlfriend.
And then the unthinkable happened, Keisha’s boss was murdered
and the police homicide department has pegged Keisha as the
prime suspect. And, if that wasn’t enough to deal with,
Keisha becomes entangled in a love triangle with two very
handsome men with their own personal agenda for chasing her.
One of her pursuers is her suave, dashing co-worker, Rayford
Molten and the other is her old flame, Detective Orlando Laban.
Will Keisha be able to choose The Better Man and
clear her name of murder before it is too late?
The Better Man is an
intriguing story filled with mystery, romance and super-hot
drama. The many twists and turns within this plot definitely
kept me on my toes. Once the true villain identity was
exposed, I found myself eagerly flipping the pages to discover
the reasoning as to why the murder was committed. The other
main focal point of this book was the love triangle excitement
between Keisha, Rayford and Orlando. As you can imagine
because of her extensive abusive past, Keisha had very low
self-esteem issues and didn’t feel worthy or comfortable with
any man’s show of interest in her. And, for that reason,
Keisha was torn between the heated attractions coming from
both men. Nevertheless, by the conclusion I am proud to say
that Keisha was successfully able to choose The Better
Man for herself. |
