Running from her brother who viciously allowed his mate to turn Helene into a vampire, Helene sought refuge with the baddest vampire on the continent, Gregori.  When Helene meets Gregori she is brave and bold, hoping the information she holds will tempt him to keep her safe.

Gregori, leader of Clan Nighthawk, is ruthless, vicious, and shows no mercy.  His world gets shaken up when a beautiful fledgling woman walks into his territory expecting he’ll keep her safe from her sire.  But Helene makes him feel emotions long suppressed, and to prove he doesn’t care for her, Gregori must use her for revenge.

Broken Ties is a quick exciting vampire story that will pull you in quickly.  I love how Helene and Gregori rub each other the wrong way, yet are pulled together like magnets.  The ending made my jaw drop, but I don’t’ want to give it away, but let’s just say Gregori will piss you off then redeem himself with his actions and it’s all fantastic.  Ms. Elias knows how to build a world, great characters and an exciting plot in such a short amount of time.
