Clarice
Davenvic loves horses. She runs a therapeutic riding farm and
has recently bought a beautiful horse named Flynn. Clarice
hopes that Flynn will help her win a riding purse. She can
use that money to run her farm. But while taking a ride on
Flynn she takes a tumble, and breaks her arm, ending her
chances of riding in the competition.
Flynn
D’Artange is an Earth Elf. He’s been sent to Clarice to teach
her to slow down and enjoy life. Flynn loves being in his
equine form, and sometimes he gets a little carried away,
hence the reason for Clarice’s fall. He feels guilty, knowing
that he’s ruined her chance for winning the money and will
probably fail in his mission.
Flynn also
feels a great attraction to Clarice. He visits her in her
dreams, and then lets her know that he’s a shape shifter, and
an elf. Then he comes up with a plan to help Clarice with her
business, and save his mission.
Horse Play is
an entertaining read that sets up a fascinating world. I fell
in love with Flynn and his caring nature. Watching him and
Clarice fall in love made me laugh and smile.
Secondary
characters made a great set up for other books in the series.
I can’t wait to see where this one goes. I highly recommend
this story. |
