Shapeshifter Aiden Calhoun doesn’t trust witches.  He is still reeling from the death of his brother, killed by his own wife…a witch.  He needs to protect his niece, but he doesn’t want anything to do with her mother’s family now.  There is still a presence out there that is threatening his family.

Witch Kira Douglas doesn’t trust wild animals.  She was attacked years ago, her parents and one of her sisters killed by panthers.  When Kira finds out that her other sister killed her husband and then herself, she realizes that she has to protect her niece.  In order to gain custody of the little girl, she must go up against the Calhoun family and the devastatingly seductive Aiden.

Kira and Aiden clash from their first meeting; neither trusts the other.  Aiden is desperate to find the person responsible for harming the shapeshifters around him, including his sister.  He may not trust Kira, but that doesn’t stop him from wanting her…badly.  Too bad there is still a sorcerer out there that wants them both dead.  Can the pair survive what is about to come?

Temptation Unleashed is a wild story about betrayal and the purifying effects of love.  Aiden is to-die-for, and his family is simply incredible.  I admit that I didn’t like Kira at first, and some of her actions made me want to shake her, but I was drawn into the story to see what would happen to her.  In the end, and despite my frustration with Kira, Temptation Unleashed fulfilled the promise it started out with.  This is a story with an appealing cast of characters that made me intrigued to find out what will happen next.
