Ally is in town trying to find the man
who killed her mother by using her psychic profiling
powers. Blake is the town’s fire marshal and is trying to
capture the same arsonist. During a random check one night,
he runs into Ally when she’s trying to use her ability to
find the arsonist.
Meanwhile, Catherine is a widow who is
struggling with keeping her relationship with a younger man
a secret from her family. Can she let go of all her baggage
and really love him or will she lose him forever?
Bare Devotion is actually two stories
intertwined. Ally’s story starts off with a big
misunderstanding when she meets Blake. Ally and Blake are
so hot together that they could have had a whole book just
devoted to them. Catherine’s story is about her trying to
figure out if she can truly be with the man she loves, who
happens to be younger. Bare Devotion can be
read as a stand alone, but to get a full grasp of all the
secondary characters, one should read the whole series in
sequence. Bare Devotion is a smart and sexy
story and I look forward to many more books by Lacey Thorn. |
